I wrote “Upon A Wheel of Cloud” for The Huntsville Master Chorale under the direction of Dr. Patricia Ramirez-Hacker.  The poetry by Emily Dickinson provides fertile imagery from which my music could easily emerge.  The setting portrays a violent storm.  It ends with a grand finale– “And then like Elijah, rode away upon a wheel of cloud”.
